Oseas Ramirez Assad

Oseas Ramírez Assad is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and intrapreneur with a 20-year track record of spearheading innovation at startups and within large enterprises.

Passionate about the intersection of cutting edge technology, human development, entrepreneurship and innovation, Oseas sits at the board of the startups he co-founded, advises large corporations internationally on innovation topics and is a public speaker in the USA and Europe.

Full Bio
On the corporate side, Oseas worked for Cisco Systems HQ for six years, during which he led three major corporate-wide efforts: First, he was in charge of the development of the company’s top 2% talent worldwide, focusing on Senior Managers. In one year, Startup//Cisco went from a newborn grassroots effort to a full-blown corporate-wide program. Finally, he was responsible for leading the creation and execution of Cisco’s co-innovation strategy with key customers across Cisco’s worldwide Innovation Centers. During this final phase he also traveled the world evangelizing organizations on Cisco’s innovation strategy.

On the startup side, Oseas founded and led three Mexico-based startups: weknow, Mexico’s leading e-learning solutions and services provider; Wawa, an online marketing and social media management firm and, Enerpanda, focused on growing green energies such as LED lighting and solar technology. Besides sitting at the board of his companies, Oseas is a partner at a startup VC fund and a startup ecosystem acceleration non-profit.

He started his career co-founding a web development business at age 17, and then continued as the CIO of a newspaper one year later. He has worked as an ISP’s CTO, a licensed Family Counselor, public speaker, college teacher, entrepreneur and startup mentor. He obtained his MBA in the United States as a Fulbright Scholar – and he currently spends half of his time in Guadalajara (Mexico’s Silicon Valley) and the other half in the Bay Area, the original Silicon Valley.
