April Bertram is the Business Development Director of SmartLink Solutions at GOJO Industries. April joined GOJO in 2002 to lead the product development efforts for the Healthcare vertical market.

Since then, she has reinvented the GOJO innovation process, from the front end of innovation, to market and product development, through to strategic portfolio management. Most recently, April was tasked with creating new IoT business models in healthcare, commercial building and other core vertical GOJO markets. She develops and cultivates new partnerships in emerging ecosystems to support strategy execution.

April holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and an Executive Masters of Business Administration. She has earned a GE Green Belt Six Sigma Certification, Innovation Engineering Black Belt Certification, a Certificate in Strategic Design Capability and the VentureWell Lean LaunchPad Facilitator. She has written a number of publications on product innovation and IoT, including several for the Frost & Sullivan Quarterly eBulletin.

Prior to her role at GOJO Industries, April was a small business owner and served in Product and Market Development positions for market-leading brands for The Hygenic Corporation (TherabandTM and Biofreeze®), GE Lighting and CompuServe Network Services/UUNet. Several patents have been awarded through these development capacities.

Rajiv Kumar, a Senior Partner and Global Vice President, is currently the global head of Frost & Sullivan’s Technical Insights (TI) and Chemicals/Materials/Foods (CMF) business units.

Rajiv has built his career over a foundation of 20 years of experience at Frost & Sullivan during which time he played multiple roles across several vertical groups. He has contributed significantly to the expansion of Measurement & Instrumentation, Automatic Identification Technologies, Environment & Building Technologies, and a few other business units.

In 2001, Rajiv spearheaded the acquisition of the TI business and subsequently effected the integration of this division in the global Frost & Sullivan organization. TI is the emerging technology, innovation, IP, and convergence focused research and consulting division of the company. For over 2000 clients worldwide, the TI team analyzes and forecasts commercialization and application roadmaps of disruptive and innovative technologies. Rajiv has been managing this fast-paced and high growth practice from the beginning and has expanded its footprint in six continents.

Connecting his broad-based vertical sector expertise with the horizontal technology focus of TI, Rajiv architected the TechVision program which concentrates on convergence of emerging technologies leading to visioning of unprecedented products, services, and business models of the future. This has now become one of the flagship services offered by Frost & Sullivan.

He has personally led numerous strategic consulting projects in emerging and developed markets across several industries and geographies. Prior to Frost & Sullivan, he worked for three years in various organizations in Asia. Rajiv has an MBA and MMR and is currently pursuing PhD. in Knowledge Management.

She started her career as a Certified Public Accountant providing her with a great foundation for understanding how decisions impact the bottom line. She realized that she was more interested in delivering financial results than accounting for them. Her skills shine brightest when she has the chance to organize chaos! Lori is skilled and passionate about telling stories and uncovering insights with data and providing actionable recommendations.

Lori earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. from Portland State University. In addition, she holds professional credentials as a Certified Public Accountant and a Project Management Professional. In 2014, Lori received Portland Business Journal’s Women of Influence Orchid Award. In 2015 she received the Manufacturing Institutes STEP Ahead Award for Women in Manufacturing. Lori is a board member for BiTA (Blockchain in Transport Alliance) and Portland State University’s Alumni Association.

Lori has been with Daimler since 2001; she enjoys mentoring throughout Daimler and volunteering at local Universities.

I’ve built an IT Consultancy’s startup practice, I’ve brought media and financial services on the mobile phone’s screens of millions of users, I’ve helped telecommunications corporates make sense of disruptive technologies, enter adjacent markets and build partnerships with startups.

Today I work with Fidelity Investments (a US Asset Management corporate), doing my best at identifying and originating partnerships with the most relevant disruptive startups around the world.
